A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Rob Harris commended Sol Schoessler for a job well done and commented on how nice
the Cemetery looked for Memorial Day.
Sol Stated that he needs about 5 sheets of plywood for putting dirt on when he
digs a grave. Dave Michaels to pick some up in Billings tomorrow.
Discussion regarding the ground where the cemetery house was removed. Sol wants
to know what he should do with this. it was decided to have some top soil hauled
in.
Discussion regarding the graves in Section "G". Sol stated that Herman Michael
had told him to keep the rows even with the section across the road south. Now
the rows are not evenly spaced and some are 16 feet, 18 feet and 20 feet between
each row. Sol would like to see each grave staked out so that the next person
to dig graves and also the monument companies can locate the correct grave site.
Larry Peterson, Public works director will have a youth man-power student this
summer and he should be able to help Sol stake out each grave in section
This should be done every time a new section is opened up.
Also, the very last row to the east in Section "G" does not have enough room for
double graves. The road cuts off a portion of these lots. Motion by Frank Smith
to allow only baby graves in the last row of Section "G". seconded by Lyle Jones.
Motion carried.
Discussion regarding the summer irrigation charge to the Catholic Cemetery. it
was suggested leaving the charge at $350.00 per season.
There being no further business to come before the board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned at 5:20 P.M.
