R. M. Williams, Vice President, County Rep. Gerald Shay, Member at Large, Exec. Secty Marvin Carter, City Rep. Grace Edwards, County Rep. Joe Bradley, City Rep. Bus Roberts, City Rep, George Reiter, County Rep. Members absent: 2.county reps to be appointed 1 city rep to be appointed Also present: f Cal Cumin, Cumin Associates, Billings Russell W. Nauman, 609 Birch Avenue, Laurel Bob Cassidy, 319 Pennsylvania Avenue, Laurel Rayo Zelka, Liquid Air, West of Laurel Minutes of previous meeting approved as sent out. Bills approved: Public Works Department in the amount of $200 for administrative services; Billings Gazette-in the amount of $25.20 for advertising for new member. ?k HOME OCCUPATIONS: Bob Cassia 19 Pennsylvania requests a home occupation of boot repairs. 0? Wants to move repair shop to his garage. There will be a drop-off point uptown so there will be no extra traffic to the house. Motion b Bus Roberts to recommend allowing this home occupation, seconded by R. M. Williams. Carried with Joe Bradley abstaining. . AlRussell Nauman 609 Birch requests a home occupation of installing wind- shields, etc. Glass repairs and installation will be done in his garage. Cal Cumin recommends denial. Motion from Joe Bradley to recommend allowing this home occupation subject to Nauman being a mobil installer and no customers come to his house, seconded by Bus Roberts. Passed 7-0. Richard Barnhardt 914 lst Avenue requests a home occupation of repair- ing sewing machines. Mr. Barnhardt was not present so Board could not make a recommendation. Mr. Barnhardt should remove his yard sign and close business until license is issued. RAY ZELKA wants to run 8 inch and 4 inch or 2 inch water line to Liquid Air plant west of Laurel. Would take water off of West 4th Street ain line. Wants to use lines for fire sprinkler system and use in his business. Would be willing to annex C/S 1330 and C/S 477. He will get necessary paperwork in order and speak with his company. Joe Bradley requested to short-cut the Planning Board hearing on Pizza Hut beer license. Board must hold hearing. No recommendation. Cumin's population figures for Laurel have been questioned. New law HB,791 has to do with access on 20 acre plats. Cumin asks for normal fee (whatever that is) for his services (no bill submitted). Motion from Bus Roberts to approve, second by R. M. Williams. Passed 7-(T Meeting adjourned 8:16 pm. The Planning Board will consider the request at their regu- larly scheduled meeting. Attendance at this meeting is required by the applicant or his /her representative. 3. The Planning Board will make a recommendation to the City Council that the specific request for a home occupation designation be granted or denied. 4. The City Council will consider the Planning Board's recom- mendation concerning the specific home occupation designation and approve or deny it at their next regularly scheduled meeting. Attendance by the applicant or his /her represent- ative is required at this meeting.
