CITY-COUNTY PLANNING HOARD
• January 9, 1986
Meeting of the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board called to
order with the following members present:
Dr. John Hawley Smith, President, City Rep.
R. M. Williams, Vice President, County Rep.
Gerald Shay, Member-at-Large, Executive Secretary
Bus Roberts, City Rep.
George Reiter, County Rep.
Bob Rosselot, County Rep.
Donald Gudgell, County Rep.
Darrell Aaby, City Rep.
Members absent:
Marvin Carter, City Rep.
Grace Edwards, County Rep.
Joe Bradley, City Rep.

Minutes of previous meeting approved as sent out. Bills approved:
. postage in the amount of $21.04; Public Works Department in the amount
of $200 for administrative services--January, 1986.
HOME OCCUPATIONS:
William B. Wobi , 515 Idaho, requests a home occupation designation for
B & D Distributing. He wants to sell gas saver devices. Would not sell
at house. Use telephone. Self installed. No demonstrations, etc.
Motion b Bus Roberts, second by Bob Rosselot, to recommend approval.
Carried.
Russell Parpart, 311 Colorado, requests a home occupation designation for
Laurel Refrigeration. This business is already licensed west of Laurel.
This is for a change of address. Carol Kukes represents Mr. Parpart.
Will use the bui.lding to build furnaces, run refrigeration out of the
premises.
Motion b Bob Rosselot, second by Bus Roberts, to recommend approval.
Carried.
PUBLIC HEARING FILE #PB 85-10: Application for preliminary approval
of LITTLE SCOTTIE MOBILE HOME PARK Subdivision located at Lots 3-13,
Block 2, of Mogan Subdivision has been submitted for public hearing.
General location is at the corner of Date Avenue and 8th Avenue, Laurel,
MT. Rick Leuthold represents. Mr. Plummer says he will only put on
8 units instead of 9.
Chip Watts wants to know about lot sizes.

Motion from Bus Roberts, second by Gerald Shay, to recommend conditional
approval and subject to a variance being considered at this time by the b

FLOOD PLAIN AND BUILDING PERMIT JURISDICTION: Motion by Don Gudgell, 0
second by Bus Roberts, that the City of Laurel increase its jurisdiction.

thus, the use of a portion of a structure as a home occupation will not
permit a subsequent owner an automatic home occupation designation.
Procedure
• 1. Complete home occupation request form and submit it to the
City seven (7) working days prior to a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Planning Board.
• 2. The Planning Board will consider the request at their regu-
larly scheduled meeting. Attendance at this meeting is
required by the applicant or his /her representative.
3. The Planning Board will make a recommendation to the City
Council that the specific request for a home occupation
designation be granted or denied.
4. The City Council will consider the Planning Board's recom-
mendation concerning the specific home occupation designation
and approve or deny it at their next regularly scheduled
meeting. Attendance by the applicant or his /her represent-
ative is required at this meeting.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE
LAUREL CITY COUNCIL
At a meeting of the Laurel - Yellowstone City - Council held
on January 9, 1986, after public notice and a public hearing
having been held, the Board recommends to the Laurel City
Council that the petition for LITTLE .SCOTTIE MOBILE ,HOME PARK
subdivision be conditionally approved.
