Secty - Acting Chairman Donald Gudgell' (County Rep.) - Acting Secretary Darrell Aaby (City Rep.) Joe Bradley (City Rep.) Russell Bray (County Rep.) Grace Edwards .(County Rep.) Roy Johnson (County Rep..) Members absent: Dr. John' Hawley Smith, President (City Rep.) Bob Rosselot (County Rep.) Donna Kilpatrick (City Rep.) (City Rep.) new replacement needed Also present: Cal Cumin, Cumin Associates, Billings Gary Good, County Surveyor's Office Minutes of previous meeting approved as sent out. Bills approved: Director of Public Works Department in the amount of $200 tot Administrative Services'in August. HOME OCCUPATIONS: Jack Broadhurst not present PUBLIC HEARING - PARKING ORDINANCE: This being the time and place advertised, a public hearing was held. No protestors present. Discussion. Add to Section 17.76.010 of the Laurel Municipal Code the following paragraph:. (N.) Cash in lieu of requited parking spaces: If property, subject to the provisions of this section, cannot include space for the required parking as herein specified or if such oft-street parking is, in the opinion of the governing body undesirable, the City may accept a cash payment. Such payment shall be based on One-Thousand and NO1100 Dollars ($1,000.00) pet parking space requited and shall be paid to the Laurel Parking Fund at the time of Building Permit application. Motion from Joe Bradley, second by Don Gudgell, to recommend to the Council that this change be instituted. Passed unanimously. YELLOWSTONE COUNTY NUMBERING SYSTEM: Gary Good from the County Surveyor's Office was present to explain the new numbering system the County has developed in cooperation with Mountain Bell. They used the existing grid system. Feel they have done a good job. General discussion on north/south numbers and road naming versus numbers. Signing is being carried out. Only 100 numbering system grid books were printed at a cost of $10,000 - Mountain Bell to receive 40 of these books. Discussion on purchase of books and cost of books to others. This to be worked out by the County Surveyor's Office. JURISDICTIONAL AREA: The County Commissioners have approved the Laurel Jurisdictional area as revised. MONTANA 66044 At a meeting of the Laurel- Yellowstone City- County Planning Board held on August 14, 1986, atter public notice and a public hearing having been held, the Board recommends to the Laurel City Council that Section 17.76.010 of the Laurel Municipal Code be amended as per attached ordinance. John Hawley Smith, President • ORDINANCE NO. AMENDING SECTION 17.76.010 (N) OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING FOR CASH IN LIEU OF REQUIRED PARKING SPACES. BE 1T ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that Section 17.76.010 (N), is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 17.76.010-(N) Cash in Lieu of required parking spaces: if property, subject to the provisions of this section, cannot include space for the required parking as herein specified or it such'oft- street parking is, in the opinion of the governing body undesirable, the City may accept a cash payment. Such payment shall be based on One- Thousand and NO /100 Dollars ($1,000.00) per parking space required and shall be paid to the Laurel Parking Fund at the time of Building Permit application. Information concerning this proposed change can be obtained at the Office of the City Engineer, City Hall. Anyone wishing to protest the proposed change may appear at this hearing.
