Meeting of the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board called
to order with the following members present:
Dr. John Hawley Smith, President (City Rep.)
Gerald Shay, Member-at-Large, Exec. Secty
Donald Gudgell (County Rep.)
Darrell Aaby (City Rep.)
Joe Bradley (City Rep.)
Russell Bray (County Rep.)
Grace Edwards (County Rep.)
Members absent:
Roy Johnson (County Rep.)
Bob Rosselot (County Rep.)
• Donna Kilpatrick (City Rep.)
Velda Thomas (City Rep.) new member
Approval of minutes of previous meeting delayed until next meeting.
Bills approved: Director of Public Works Department in the amount of
$200 for Administrative Services in September; Cumin Associates in the
amount of $3,375 for Planning advisory services for July, August,
and September, 1986, as per agreement.
HOME OCCUPATIONS:
Jack Broadhurst not present
Dan L. Lowell, 1115 8th Avenue, requests a home occupation as chimney
sweep service. Motion from Joe Bradley, second by Grace Edwards, to
recommend granting this home occupation. Passed unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.

thus, the use of a portion of a structure as a home occupation will not
permit a subsequent owner an automatic home occupation designation.
Procedure
• 1. Complete home occupation request form and submit it to the
City seven (7) working days prior to a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Planning Board.
•
2. The Planning Board will consider the request at their regu-
larly scheduled meeting. Attendance at this meeting is
required by the applicant or his /her representative.
3. The Planning Board will make s recommendation to the City
Council that the specific request for a home occupation
designation be granted or denied.
4. The City Council will consider the Planning Board's recom-
mendation concerning the specific home occupation designation
and approve or deny it at their next regularly scheduled
meeting. Attendance by the applicant or his /her represent-
ative is required at this meeting.
