Meeting of the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board
called to order with the following members present:
Dr. John Hawley Smith, President (City Rep.)
Gerald Shay, Member-at-Large, Exec. Secty
Grace Edwards (County Rep.)
Donald Gudgell (County Rep.)
Darrell Aaby (City Rep.)
Joe Bradley (City Rep.)
Russell Bray (County Rep.)
Roy Johnson (County Rep.)
Velda Thomas (City Rep.)
Members absent:
Bob Rosselot (County Rep.)
Donna Kilpatrick (City Rep.)
Also present:
Cal Cumin, Cumin Associates, Billings
Linda L. Wilkerson, 1405 W. 9th St., Laurel
Bob Horning, 1603 W. 9th St., Laurel
Minutes of previous meeting approved.,as sent out. Bills approved:
Public Works Department in the amount of $200 for Administrative
Services in January.
NEW ZONING MAP PUBLIC HEARING: Cal Cumin presented the new proposed
zoning map. Discussion ensued. The last update of this map was
in 1979. Have had several zone changes since that time. The new
map reflects those changes. Extends the one-mile zoning because
of the City's growth since 1979.
Question about Montana Meadows zoning request previously requested.
Cal suggests that until they have all City services that they be
zoned as RE-20,000.
Discussion of agricultural zoning.
Cherry Hill II shows RE-20,000 and should be 87500.
Public hearing closed.
Motion-_b Joe_Bradley to recommend that the zoning map be accepted
by the Council subject to certain changes, seconded by Grace Edwards.
Carried.
Discussion of Airport Zone now being shown on the map. Airport
Zone building permits require a "special" review. Airport Zone
is more restrictive. This zone should be reviewed. Discussion
of the area of influence of the airport.
