HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity/County Planning Board Minutes 07.14.1988LAUREL-YELLOWSTONE CITY-COUNTY PLANNING BOARD • LAUREL, MONTANA 69044 July 14, 1988 The Planning Board meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: John Smith, Chairman Gerald Shay, Member at large Donald Gudgell, Co. Representative Chuck Dickerson, Representative Clarence Foos, Representative Joe Bradley, City Attorney Cal Cumin, Cumin Associates Members absent: Roy Johnson, Co. Representative Grace Edwards, Co. Representative Velda Thomas, City Representative Darrell Aaby, City Representative The minutes of the June meeting were reviewed and approved. No Home Occupations. Special Review # 88-01- New Apostolic Church Chuck Goldy, Ernie Szillat, and Ken Szillat are here representing the New Apostolic Church. The congregation has bought 4 lots in Willow Creek Subdivision, Block 3, Lots 8,9,10 & 11, zoned Residential single family. They would like to build a church on lots 9 & 10. The church proposed would be approximately 26' 8" wide and 5618" in length, and would be built on lots 9 & 10, with lots 8 and 11 left vacant for the time being. They have no future plans for expanding the church. If the congregation gets too large, they will build another church, and split the congregation. The parking spaces planned are 22, which is more than adequate according to City requirements. The landscaping will be done under Ken Szillat's supervision. They plan lots of trees and grass. Motion by Joe Bradley to recommend approval to the City Council subjected to the following: . 1. Approval of the drainage system by the City Engineer 2. Approval of the garbage can location by the City Engineer. 3. Execution of written improvements agree- ment from the church. Motion seconded by Don Gudgell. Motion passed 7 - -0. Motion by Joe to recommend to the City Council that there be no public hearing, to speed up the process for the builders, seconded by Chuck Dickerson. Motion passed 7 - -0. Motion by Don Gudgell to approve payment of the bill for Administrative Services for July, seconded by Gerald Shay. Motion passed 7 - -0. Motion by Gerald Shay to adjourn, seconded by Don Gudgell.
