Discussion on Move On Houses
The Planning Board needs to discuss the possible need of reviewing
houses that are "moved on" to foundations. Should there be any
more requirements other than a building permit? Should the
neighbor's be notified, covenants of the subdivision upheld,
should property values (whether they go up or down due to the
move on) be considered?
After lengthy discussion the Board decided to table this topic
until next month's meeting, September 8th. Jim Flisrand, the
City Engineer will be asked to attend the meeting to aid in the
discussion as to how often it comes up, and how far the code
goes in addressing move on houses.
New Recorder for Secretary
The Planning Board Secretary has asked to be authorized to buy
a new tape recorder. The recorder used now is broken and the
microphone doesn't pick up well.
Motion by Grace Edwards to authorize $ 50.00 for a new
tape recorded, seconded by Velda Thomas. Motion carried 11 - -0.
Discussion on the Hopple house on 9th Street. There have been "".•
alot of cars in front of the house in various stages of dismantle,
which indicates a possibility of work being done on the premises
without a license or permission.
Motion by Grace Edwards to adjourn the meeting, seconded by
Gerald Shay. Motion carried 11 - -0. The meeting was adjourned
at 7:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Cheryll Lund, Secretary
