CITY-COUNTY PLANNING BOARD LAUREL, MONTANA 59044 December 14, 1989 The Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board meeting of December 14, 1989, was brought to order with the following members present: John Hawley Smith, City Rep. and Chairman Roy Johnson, Co. Rep. Gerald Shay, Co. Rep. Donna Kilpatrick, City Rep. Linda Dennis-Williams, City Rep. Clarence Foos, Co. Rep. Don Gudgell, Co. Rep. Joe Bradley, City Rep. Chuck Dickerson, City Rep. Others present: Cal Cumin, Cumin Associates, Billings Walt Foster, 1515 E. Main St., Laurel Cheryll Lund, Secretary . Members absent: Grace Edwards,. Co. Rep. Russell Bray, Co. Rep. Motion by Roy Johnson, seconded by Don Gudgell to approve the minutes of the November 9, 1989 meeting. Motion carried. _Moti_on_ by Chuck Dickerson, seconded by Donna Kilpatrick to approve the Administrative services bill for December for $200 and the bill from Cumin Associates for $3,375. Motion carried. Walt Foster -Economic Development Walt Foster stated that he was still trying to set up the business that he had come and talked to the Planning Board a few months back. He inquired about the LEDO organization, Laurel Economoic Development Organization, whether it was up and going. Cal stated that it is alive and well. He also inquired about the CBDG grant, what to get this started. Cal stated that we had received a letter from MDU in regards to relocating a gas line on Danford Road and Yard Office Road. This is planned to be done in March or April, and they will be in contact with the City to coordinate the project. Discussion followed on the gas line. Com !ter Ma in Pro' Cal brought 2 examples of what the computer map will look like, and explained the basics of how it will work. It is a Joint project, and GEO Research is heading it. The County will also be getting more involved in the future. It is an amazing system and Cal is anxious to be able to use it. The mapping will be able to show lot lines, water lines, sewer lines, and topigraphical lines. It can do much more than the above mentioned things, and things can be added as they are needed. The January meeting of the Planning Board will be held at 6:30 p.m. We will be having a Special Review on the Ramsey Building, after which the meeting will be adjourned to Happy Gardens for a no-host "after Christmas" party. Motion B Gerald Shay, seconded by Roy Johnson to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. . Box 35000 Billings, Montana 59107 RE: Relocating natural gas line in Danford Road and Yard Office Road Northeast of Laurel, Montana Gentlemen: We intend to relocate the above mentioned gas line next spring. We plan on doing this project in March or April, depending on weather conditions and making arrangements with'a contractor to plow in a new line. • As soon as we've hired.a contractor and established a firm date, we will contact the county surveyor's office. We will work with the surveyor's office to coordinate our work with his to expedite this project as much as possible.
