-The committee met to review the following 1983-84 budget requests:
City Court
Ambulance
Mayor
City Clerk
Discussion regarding standby time.for ambulance attendants.
At the present time a patient is billed-at the rate of.$20.00
an hour for standby at a clinic, etc., and no extra pay goes
to the attendants. When they standby for a football game,
Herbstfest, etc., the attendant is paid directly by the organi-
zation. However., this should be changed for workmen's comp and
liability insurance reasons, It was.mentioned that the $20.00
an hour standby charge remain the same and $5.00 would go to
the City and $15.00 to the attendants ($7.50 each).
Discussion regarding the attendants wage request for a 10% in-
crease from $10.00 to $11.00 per shift, Director's pay from $100
to $200 a month and Assistant Director from $100 to $150 per month.
It was suggested that the standby pay and increase in wages be
discussed by the entire council.
Discussed funding for a new ambulance and it was suggested that
the Ambulance Committee write a letter to Marlenee, Baucus and
Melcher and ask them for assistance in locating grant money, etc.
It was mentioned that the non-union wage increases should be
determined.
The committee recommends that the City solicit a bid for the 1982-83
audit.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Donald L. Hackmann
