BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:

Albert Ehrlick , Lonnie Kellogg , Fred Feuerbacher Don Hackmann
CLAIMS: The Committee reviewed the claims and recommended that
they be paid.
LANDFILL: Discussed repairing the transmission on the Cat. It
will cost between $7,000 and $15,000 to repair. The Bomag is
being repaired also. It would cost $1,500..a month to rent a
track loader until the Bomag is repaired (approximately one
month). The Committee recommended to rent the track loader
for one month. Recommended that the Garbage Committee look
into alternative on replacing the Cat.
DITCH LINING.PROJECT: Discussed constructing ponding dikes and
. then remove a temporary earthen dam in the ditches for exfi.ltra-
tion studies at a cost of approximately $2,000. This is not
covered by the DNRC grant. It was recommended that Revenue
Sharing be used and transfer $2,000 from some other capital
outlay project.
ENGINEER: Larry requested permission to order an engineer's
pickup as budgeted in Revenue Sharing. He received two informal
bids - Fitchner Chevrolet and Johnson Ford. The Committee
recommends the purchase of the pickup from Johnson Ford at a
cost of $7,774.18.
WATER PLANT: Dave Michael was granted permission to go out for
informal bids for roof repair on the water plant at a cost of
about $6,000.
Dave was also granted permission to purchase windo,ws_and doors
for the old water plant building at a cost of about $3,000.
Received a bill submitted by Atlas Pumping for pumping oil off.

structed to negotiate a lower charge for the service.
BUDGET: Don Hackmann distributed the budget calendar for 1984-85.
Reviewed Bob Gauthier's analysis of the 1983-84 budget expenditures
and revenue as of 12/31/83.
Discussed a Revenue Sharing Seminar regarding the 1983 amendments
to the Revenue Sharing Act. The Committee recommended that Don
Hackmann attend the seminar in Los Angeles on February 13, 1984.
LVFD: Discussed financing for a new fire truck and setting up
a Capital Projects Fund.
