A quorum ( 3 or more) present, the following actl on was taken by the committee:
The April claims were reviewed and it was recommended that they be paid.
Mel Tiensvold from the firm of Colberg, Fasching,, Mrachek & Tiensvold, presented
his audit proposal for 1983-84, in the amount of $7,000. Due to a revenue sharing
requirement (attachment P) and auditing the new sewer plant construction in progress,
the cost increased $1,500 over last year's audit..
The committee recommends that the City award the audit contract to Colberg,
pvY Fasching, Mrachek & Tiensvold for 1983-84.
Steve Quail, from HKM, reviewed the sewer rates, because it appears that the cash
flow isn't where it should be. Steve will do a etudy_of water comsumption and
review the rates in more detail and report back to the committee by June 5th.
The committee approved a
purchase
requisition in
the amount of $3,992 for. 4 air packs
a0?' for the fire department. This is a budgeted item which will be paid out of the
Y Equipment Reserve cash.
Discussed proposals for updating the current computer system. The committee reviewed
3 proposals on a PC model for the Library and for the Clerk's office in the amount
of approximately $8,000 each. 'The cost to replace the current NCR--8150 to the next
-1?lz recommended model. 9300 would cost about $43,000.
The committee recommended that Don, Sharon, and Peg.Arnold try out these computers
and make a recommendation to the committee as to which computer would be more suitable.
