SUBJECT: Pole Building for Shop Area
Your Committee originally approved the spending
of $ 3,500.00 for constructing a Pole Building within the
City Shop area, using existing building materials obtained
approximately five years ago.
We received two quotes, one quote of $ 3,163.00
was using a portion of City material, the second quote
of $ 4,198.80 was for a complete new building with all
new material.
The material purchased by the City a few years
ago has partially deteriorated and would have to be
installed in a patched/coupled procedure.
The City has been offered $ 1,000.00 for the
old building material "as is" including steel members
and all tin. Following discussion with the Mayor it
was decided it would be in the best interest of the City
to construct the new building at $ 4,198.80, sell the old
material for $ 1,000.00 and end up with a net cost of
$ 3,198.80 for a new 30 X 60 pole building.
