A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Jim Gunnels, representing the Laurel Museum, Inc. requested that
the City spend approximately $800 to replace an air conditioner
in the old Library building. The request was taken under
advisement.
The Committee approved purchase requisitions as follows:
General Fund
Repair water pump at Cemetary $2,100.00
Repair motor to Water pump 270.00
Chlorine for swimming pool 131.00
HTH for swimming pool 200.00
10 used computer disc packs 250.00
1989-90 MLCT dues 1,827.50
Water Fund
4- 150# Cyl chlorine 261.00
2400 gallons of liquid alum 1,615.00
8' step ladder and 2 street brooms 120.90

Budget and Finance meeting of July 18, 1989
Discussion regarding the needed repairs to the digester at the
Sewer Plant at an estimated cost of $15,000.00. since this project
is over $10,000.00 it will need to be advertised for bid.
The Public hearing on'the 1989-90 budget will be held at the
regular council meeting on August lst and adopt the final budget
August 7th. Also, the July claims will be reviewed and approved
on August 7th.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:05 p.m..
