A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
The Committee reviewed the March claims and recommended
that they be paid.
Several new vendors were approved.
Bob Strand presented some figures for repairing the swimming
pool. He suggested that a fiberglass liner, 120' X 44', could
be purchased for about $30,000, a pool heater for $10,000, and
a thermal blanket for about $3,000. The current wading pool
would be eliminated and a new one built at another location. with
extensive plumbing and installation it could cost approximately
$125,000 to rejuvinate the old pool. It has been estimated that
a new one would cost $400,000 to $500,000.
Discussion regarding purchasing new portable radios for the
Ambulance service. There have been problems communicating with the
old radios at critical times during an ambulance call. They would
like to buy 6 new radios at a cost of approximately $4,104.00. The
Committee recommended to spend $1,000 from the current budget,
and include the balance in the 1990-91 budget. Cheryl will check
and see if this will be acceptable with the vendor to pay the
balance after July 1st.
The Committee approved purchase requisitions as follows:
