BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
The Committee reviewed the following 1990-91 preliminary
budgets:
Mayor Snow Removal
• Council Civil Defense
City Hall Air Pollution
City Clerk City Assessments
Light District 2 & 3
The Committee recommended to include sanding costs with snow
removal and plowing. The assessment would be the same as last
year ($4.00 per 4,200 square foot lot), however it is recommended
to have a "cap" of $50.00 per tax code.
The Committee recommended to increase the assessment in
Light District #2 (residential) by appoximately $5 per residence.
The electrical costs have increased over the past few years
and the cash reserve has decreased. The 1990-91 electrical costs
are estimated to be approximately $21,000 and the assessment
will be about $15,000, with the balance of $6,000 coming out of
cash reserves.
The next meeting to review budgets will be April 18th at
4:30. Budgets scheduled for then will be the Library, Water,
Sewer and Solid Waste funds.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
