COMMITTEE
Date July_ 21, 1992 Time 4:30 xa.
Place of Meeting City Hall
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman -Donna Kilpatrick
Bob Graham Ron Marshall
Norman Orr Bob Gauthier
Don Hackmann Chuck Rodgers
OTHER'S PRESENT: John Rosenberg Dave Slaymaker
A quorum (3 or moire) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
John Rosenberg and Dave Slaymaker presented informal bids for
a new PC Computer for the Police-Department.
After a lengthy discussion a motion was made by Norman Orr
to purchase the Compaq Computer w/9pson LQ 1070 Printer in the
amount of $2,500. Motion died for lack of a second.
A motion was made by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bob Graham to
purchase the Allied Computer with a used hard drive and a
Panasonic printer in the amount of $2,500. Motion carried.
The main reason for purchasing the Allied over the Compaq
was that the package for the Allied included provisions for
networking and the Police Department wanted to get started
immediately. There would be an additional expense to network
the Compaq, which is not in the budget.
Discussion regarding Carl Hollabaugh living in a house at
Riverside Park. It was suggested that this be placed on the
August 4th Council agenda. The Committee made no recommendation.
(The Parks Committee, at their meeting on May 9, 1991, recommended
a lease. See attached minutes.)
Discussion regarding a bid to paint the FAP Complex, in the
amount of $2,850. Chuck will try to get another bid before a
decision is made.
Purchase requisitions were approved as follows:
100 police patches $260.00
Meeting expense for Mike
Atkinson to attend the
Montana Chief of Police
Convention in Helena
July 29 thru August 1 356.00
