Box 10 115 West 1st Laurel, Montana 59044 Re: Trade of land Dear Mr. Mayor and Councilpersons: The Rocking B-S partnership is the owner of certain lands north of the City of Laurel described as follows: NZSENE Section 5., Township 2 South, Range 24 East, Yellowstone County, Montana. The land has an elevation that would be suitable for a water reservoir to serve lands within the western boundary of the City of Laurel and new development to the west. We propose to the City of Laurel a trade of our above land for lands within the City of Laurel, owned by the city, and described as follows: Lots 14 through 27, Block 10, and Lot 10, Block 11, Cherry Hill Subdivision, 2nd Filing, Yellowstone. County, Montana. The trade we feel would be advantageous to the city in two ways. First it will provide the city with a suitable site for a future water reservoir to accomodate expansion of the city to the west. Second it places 15 building sites back on the tax rolls and opens them up for new housing development. We ask the City of Laurel to give this offer to trade lands serious consideration and to refer our offer to the appropriate committee for review and recommendation. Our offer to trade shall remain open for a period of 60 days. If the city is interested in negotiating a trade we shall leave our offer open for such period of time as may be necessary to come to an agreement, but no longer than 90 days. r- r -I Mayor Charles G. Rodgers Laurel City Council March 10, 1993 Page 2 Please advise me within 60 days whether the city is interested in making a trade of lands as above stated. ROCKING B-S:PARTNERSHIP By William R.
