Collins Other s present: , A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee: Starting with this meeting, each member will receive a copy of the minutes. Asphalt Supply Co. will address the venting requirements as out- lined by Tom Selleck by installing a collapsible lid on the naptha tank. Joe Bradley will check on a chemical engineer to evaluate the problem and with Tom Selleck to determine if there is a required distance for the naptha tank to be located from a residential area. Jim Fletcher said the company would be happy to oblige in obtaining whatever building permits are necessary. Also his company can expand the entrance gate by 20 ft, so as not to encroach on neighbor's property. A draft of a proposal was submitted.by Asphalt Supply which will be sent to its customers asking noise be kept at a minimum during the nighttime hours. The company will check with the BNRR to see if trucks could park in the lot east of 5th Avenue while waiting to load, and enter from the west and drive through. A copy of the report from the insurance company concerning emission on homes and asked that it not be made public at this time. Kathleen Behm asked for the amount of the company's liability insurance saying their homeowner's insurance is void if their home is damaged by sparks from a fire at Asphalt Supply. Jim Fletcher said his company has no problem with relocating except for the cost factor. He will check with the BNRR considering moving to Mossmain. Asphalt Supply still plans to open for business on May 1st. A complaint by Mary Kaiser was given to the company to be forwarded to their insurance carrier. A letter was read from Mayor Gauthier outlining the purpose of this committee.
