STREET & ALLEY COMMITTEE

B. Other's present- Don Hopple, Earl Gordon, Jim Worthington & Larry Herman
A quorum 0 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
A motion was passed to allow Dan-Hopple.and his neighbors on East
Mayland to get an engineer-and have curb and gutter built. They
are to check with either Dave or the new engineer to have it installed
to city codes.
Jim Worthington requested an OKay for the change order on SID 108
in the amount of $7,950. He said the change orders were asked for
by Larry Peterson.. The committee will go along with the change
order for payment at this time, but will not.accept the street job
as it now is. Jim is to oversee fixing the bad spots and see that
2 more checks are made, at least one in the spring and one before
final approval of the street. I, Mel Krug, feel the whole street
should be done over.
M Andy brought up concrete replacement in the City. The committee
suggests looking into contracting out the concrete work where
feasible or getting the proper forms to have a standard radius
corner whenever they are replaced.
Committee recommends when utilities get a-permit to open the street
that they be required to tell the City as soon as they are done with
the job.
The committee recommends that no curbs be painted on either side
of a garbage can unless requested by the person or persons using
that can.
