A quorum (3 or :core) present the following action was taken by the commmittee :
The July claims were reviewed and the committee recommended that they be paid.
Don distributed an. insurance analysis and approximately $3,700 will need to be added
to the 1984-85 budget due to larger increases than originally anticipated.
Maintenance contracts with the Department of Commerce was discussed and the
committee recommends not to enter into a contract at this time. it is the
consensus of the committee that the legislature should provide the funding
for the DOC to provide services to local governments.
Ambulance bad debts in the amount of $6,397.47 were reviewed dating back to 1976.
These have been returned by credit Service Co. and are uncollectible. The
committee recommends charging them off.
Daily travel allowances were discussed and it is recommended that lodging be
increased from $24.00 to $30.00, breakfast from $3.00 to $5.00, lunch from $3.50
to $5.00, dinner from $8.00 to $10.00, mileage from .17G to .20G a mile.
(1984-85 travel budgets would not be increased). Don will prepare aresolution
for the August 21st council meeting.
