For all of the City's insurance, excluding health, only one bid was received which was from Williams Agency. After a discussion, the committee recommends to accept proposal #1 in the amount of $57,586.96 (this proposal has a $1,000 deductible for public official liability.) HEALTH & LIFE INSURANCE: Each agent present reviewed and explained their policy and answered questions from the committee. The committee then discussed the different bids and options presented and it was the consensus of the committee that the two insurance companies to consider are Blue Cross and United of Omaha. Another Insurance Committee meeting is scheduled for June 17, 1985, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Union members and anyone else interested is invited to attend.
