A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Jan Stingley requested the City to-consider vacating South lst Street
between. So.. 5th Ave. and So. 6th Ave. If.he goes ahead with his new
store, he would like the extra room for parking. He would also be
able to move the store site to the edge of his now existing property
he will acquire. Fe will grant t-he: City and utility, compan:iez tre
right of way to dig and repair what may be needed. He will do this
in writing as we.di.d by his store now. The committee recommends to
the Council to vacate.
The committee recommends purchasing the new dump truck from Yellowstone
Ford Truck Sales as the lowest bidder being $556.75 less thanthe next
bid.
The committee recommends prohibiting any signs, garage or posters
advertising something for sale along Laurel's right of way, Main Street
and lst Avenue north and south.
The committee recommends getting a meeting with the County-City and
Railroad and get something in writing as what to do about Shannon Road.
The committee gave Ernie the OK to check into a price for a new street
sweeper.
Meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
