Members present: Chairman Lon Kellogg Sharon Herman, Ernie Davis, Dave Michael,.Jim Flisrand B. Other's present: A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee: I. MAINTENANCE PROGRAM: Dave Michael was to have a preliminary draft ready at this meeting. Them is none ready at this time. There is a major maintenance problem at the water plant. The plant is 30 years old and needs work. Committee is asking $20,000 to start a major maintenance program. The committee has a list and will set these items on a priority basis at the next meeting. II. WATER TEST BENCH: Ordered - approximately four weeks delivery time. III. CAMPER RV DUMP STATION: Letter to be sent to Terry Fink informing him of the yearly amount. He wants to get started when the weather breaks. IV. LEAK DETECTOR: Committee recommends purchasing the demonstrator at 500. A new one with warrantee is $700. V. WATER ANALYSIS SYSTEM: Committee recommends to go ahead with Phase II. VI. FROZEN WATER METERS: Tabled until next meeting. VIII. PARKS: Jim will research the metering of the parks and report at our next meeting. The newest part of the Water Treatment Plant Is approaching thirty years old and much of the instrumentation and equipment has become obsolete... The entire Water Treatment Plant should be reviewed and a preventive maintainence program, implimented. The mainta.inence can be done by the employees, But is will take several years as many of the items will have to be repaired and replaced. Building and grounds: Repaint int<=riors of ooth buildings, install emergency lights in the old building, reseal the chemical room floor, replace h unit heaters in the new building, replace the _front entry door in the new building, replace the lab sink drain, repair the hoist in the chemical room, repair foundation water leaks, replace the cozered basin covers, replace the basin railings, install a security fence arount the whole water plant property, install security lights at the east end of the new building, and remodel the restroom tteparate restrooo end kitchen. LI Operations: Replace Transfer #1 (r, have the ? pump and Most everything to complete the job), replace the 14" and the 18" venturi meters, order a new chlorinator, new multi-function ft. and Fluoride meter, build a cabinet for the new telemeter, replace Fluoride deeder, order a new positive displacement pump for polymer feeding and one for liquid alum, restdte and replace the pipes in the old :.u lding, repair the gate on the intake pier, replace Low Service .1, overhaul filter backwash arms, temporally repair the open basins and. look a replacing their with clarifiers sandblast and paint filters. Tools: 2 horsepower 119-volt air compressor, sand blaster, 20 ton press, ball piers hammer set, good quality 1/2" and YF" drive socket setgf, heavy duty tool chest and cabinet. Vehicles: Used good 1 ton trick with a flatbead box. 0
