Members present: Chairman_ Mel Krug B. Robert Kettenring Ernie Davis im i'iisrand Other's present: Charlie Pratt , Chuck Dickerson A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee: Charlie Pratt represented the State GVW as per our request. They will work with the City in whatever we decide to do about the checking of overweight trucks on Laurel streets. Bob Kettenring reported the State will work with us on putting up signs to curtail over--the-road truck traffic up lst Avenue. A traffic study had been done on old US 10 east of town in the area of Village Sub. They find all in order. Bob requested we check into putting up loading zone signs in front of the Senior Citizen's Center. During a function there, vehicles parking around the front reduces the street to one-way travel. Ernie states we have 3 handicap.parking signs to put up. Jim will check the laws regarding putting them on the street. Alternative parking will be found if not. We need to see about changing Ordinance #8.12.054, Certain Matter Not to be Placed in Receptacles (garbage cans). Jim reported that Federal funding is not available to get stop signs on our three through streets (5th and 8th Avenues and W. 12th). Jim and Ernie will see how many we need and the installation costs. Meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m. Respectfully ubmitted, A' Mel Krug, Chairman E W ?
