Park COMMITTEE

A. Members present: Chairman Bill Brennan
Bob Bowers 9 Kent Harris , Bob Western
$. Other's present: Ernie Davis Robert Volmer
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The Committee discussed leasing the pasture around the reservoir to Robert Volmer.
The Committee recommends that since we have no water rights in the Cove Ditch and
therefore cannot irrigate the grass we charge $10/mo./per horse.We approved the
renter having a haystack on the property as long as it was unobtrusive.The City
has put "No Trespassing"signs on the gates.The Committee recommends passage
of the resolution to lease this property to Mr.Volmer.
The Committee discussed removal of 4 trees and trimming of 7 trees at Riverside
• Park.We would like to establish a policy of replacing trees as they require
removal.We recieved two bids to remove and trim the trees.They are ;
Magnus $500
Larned $3,530
The Committee recommends acceptance of the Magnus bid.
There was some discussion concerning fencing and dugouts stored in Thompson Park
creating an eyesore.It will be looked into.
