PARK COMMITTEE

B. Other's present: Bob Gauthier,Bob Wetch,Dan Taber
Cal Cumin , Jim Sandall , Roger Boss
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Dan Taber,representing Yellowstone Bowmen,stated that his organization needs a
a place to shoot indoors in the off season.They have been denied permissinn by
both the Rod & Gun Club and the Rifle C1ub.Among other things they.would like to
know if there is any space available for lease at Riverside to possibly erect a
building for thier use.
Cal Cumin,Jim Sandall,and Roger Boss,presented the Yellowstone County Comprehen-
0 sive Park plan.
Bob Wetch stated that the Legion needs a definite cash commitment from the City
in order to apply for matching funds from the Montana Dep't.of Outdoor Recreation.
The Committee recommended putting snowfence in Russel Park to prevent snow
drifting into adjacent streets.
The Committee recommended construction of an ice skating rink on the City property
at 8th Ave.and west 4th St.The location of the rink south of the High School has
presented quite a few problems.
