STREET & ALLEY COMMITTEE

A. Members present: Chairman Mel Krug
Bob Kettenri.ng Andy Loebe Jim Flisrand
Ernie avis Chuck Dickerson

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Received a note from Larry Herman regarding the complaints on SID
108. Jim will do some checking.on this matter and let Larry know
our thoughts about the problems.
Bob Kettenring will check laws regarding over-the-road trucks taking
short cuts through Laurel via lst Avenue.
Jim will contact the State GVW department asking for help in con-
trolling overweight trucks on City streets. We will want them to
work with our police department on this matter.
The committee talked about the thru streets designated in Laurel.
Bob Kettenring recommended installing stop signs for traffic
entering or crossing 8th Avenue, 5th Avenue and W. 12th as they
are main collector streets. Jim will check into Federal funding
for signs.
After much discussion Mel made..a motion to get Council approval to
seek bids to sell the porta patcher, seconded by Chuck Dickerson.
All agreed.
