WHEREAS, the City of Laurel (hereinafter "the City"), pursuant to the
recommendations of City Staff, has determined that traffic flow necessitates the placement of
a Stop Sign on the Corner of Idaho Avenue and E. 6th Street, in Laurel, Montana, in order to
ensure safe and effective flow of traffic; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to LMC 10.08.010, the Laurel Chief of Police is authorized to
"place and maintain traffic control devices" upon all City streets that are deemed necessary to
regulate, warn, or guide traffic, under the direction of the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana that the Chief of Police and/or his designee is hereby authorized to place a Stop Sign
on the Corner of Idaho Avenue and E. 6th Street, in order to regulate, warn, or guide traffic
through that intersection.

by Council Member Eaton.
