December 5th, 1916.
The City Council met in regular session at the Council
Chambers of the City Hall at eight o'clock P. 1,'.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Laird.
The following Alderman were present; Dix, Horen, Davis,
Harner, Jacobs and Lamb.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved
on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
Report of the City Treasurer for the month of November
1916 was recd and approved on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
Reports of the Chief of Police for the month of November 1916
were read and approved on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
Report of the Street Commissioner for the month of November
191.6 was read and on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
Regular report of the Police Judge for the month of November
was read and on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
Special. report of the Police Judge requesting that the Mayor
appoint a cominitte to investigate the disappearance of a certain suit
of clothes was read, and on motion duly made, seconded and carried the
Ma--vor appointed Davis, Horen and Lamb a comrnittee to investigate this
matter.
Report of W. L. A. Calder concerning trip to Lewistown was
read and aptroved on :notion duly made, seconded and carried.
The contract for paving was discussed with C. H. Green's
representative, and upon motion duly made, seconded. and carried the
clerk was instructed to again write Tv_{r. Green that the Council wants
hir:, to show cause why work has not been started in accordance with
his contract.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the bond of
H. B. Shields was approved and ordered filed with the City Treasurer.

A motion was duly made, seconded and carried that all of the
above bills be allowed and warrents drawn on the respective funds to
cover same.
Minutes ®f the City Council ®f Laurel
Geo. Rowden was instructed to hand in bili at the next
regular meeting covering the cost of large globes purchased for
lighting district.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried the Clerk and
Treasurer were instructed to adjust Dalton Adding machine matter.
Adjourned on motion duly made, seconded and carried.
