Minutes ®f the City Council ®f laurel
November 10th,1916.
The City Council of the City of Laurel,Idontana, ret in
adjourned session of October 7th,A.D.1916, at the Council Chambers
of the City Hall at eight o'clock p.m.
The meeting was caller to order by Idayor L 1ird.
The following aidermen were present; Shields,Lanb,Horen,
Davis and Jacobs.
Report of the City Treasurer for the month of October,1916
was read and approved on motion duly made,seconded and carried.
Report of the Police Judge for the month of 06tober,1916,
was read and a -proved on motion duly made,seconded and carried.
Report of the Street Cotraissioner for the month of October,1916,
was read andep-proved on motion duly made,seconded and carried.
Com_lunication from the Secretary of the Local Board of
Health was read, and a motion was -uly made,seconded and carried that
the book called for under Section 1486 of the Public Health Laws
and Regulations of the State Board of Health be purchased.
Communication from property owners asking council to take
steps to have pool hall grade safe was recd. A motion was duly :rude,
seconded and carried, that the building inspector be directed to
come to Laurel and immediately insyect the pool hall restaurant and
have safe discontinued until mIe safe.
It was regularly moved,seconded and carried, that Oity
Attorney Calder a' -"end the Municipal League meeting at Lewiston, on
the 20-22-23 of November,1916.
Estimates on sidelrvalks for Improvement Districts No. 21,
22 and 24 were read.
A motion was duly made,seconded an carried, that contract
be let to ,.J.Rogers in District No.24 at bid, and that the Clerk
and Mayor execute bontract.
A motion w:s duly made,seconded and carried, that the
estimate of the City Engineer on I�iprove.rent Districts 21122 and
24 be a-:�proved, subject to change in amount allowe ? for incidental
expenses, and the amount of Hagerter walk to be.deducted, and
warrants or bonds were ordered drawn on the resnective Improvement
District Funds for the full amount after the above changes have__be:en .
made.
The Pdayor appointed Davis on the auditing committee in
place of Hanner.
The follo,,ving bilis were read,audited and allowed, and a

to issue warrants on the respective -funds for the arnount of each.
