A motion was 1 -ply made, seconded and carried,that the
report of the canvassing board be adopted and approved. Said
re7.ort- being as -47ollows; After having canvassed the returns
of special alectuion held July 29-IIjhs1913j they reported that
there were 48 votes cast for the establishment of a free
public library, and 35 against;
Ordinance No. 134., providing -for the-Ilestablishment
and maintenance of a free public library within the City of
Laurel was read. A motion was duly made and seconded that the
said Ord4Ln.,_-,nce_ ne -passed and apfiroved as read. TUDon roll call
the vote stood as "ollows;
