July 22 nd.1916.
City Council Me; ---t in special session,persuant to a ca&l
by the mayor at Calder's ofzice for the purpose of rectifying
an etror made in the figuring of bids for the construction
of improvements in Special Imrpovement Districts No 19,20,
21 and 22
which were considered a t the last regular -eeting
of the council.
i-,Ieeting was ealled to order by the :payor.
There were present the following a3tlerman; Laird, Shailds
Hannerm,and navis.

Reading of the minutes of Zast meeting Ve e dispenced
The corrected total of the bids for the construction of
improvements in Special Improvement Districts No 19,20,21,&22:
weere read,and found as follows,to-wit;

A motion was duly made and seconddd that the contract be
be awarded to 17.J.Rogers,he being the lowest responsible bidder
and that he and the City of Laurel,by its Yayor and Merk,
enter into a contraict for the preformamce of said work,also
that said Rogers furnish bond as required by ordinance creating
said districts. Further that the bid of McLaughlin & O'Neil be
turned down asthey have not done satisfactory work on other
cont-rercts of like character for the City and for that reason
they are to be considered not responsible contractors for
this contract.
,A mot; on was duly made and seconded that the City of Laurel
make arrangements wit'# some party herein Laurel who has„ a Moter
Cycle, to act astraf--fic Policemen nor th:; purcoses

the Mayor be impowered to awake such arrangements and fix the
compensation therefor .
