HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 07.03.1916Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Mont., July 3rd ,1916. The City Council met in special session at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 8 o'clock P.M. The Meeting was calleu to order by the Mayor. There were present aldermen, Davis,Horen,Jacobs, Shields and Laird. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read upon motion July made, seconded and carried. The Police Judges report for the month of June was reed and approved u_ron motion duly made,seconded and carried. The Street Commissioners report was read and referred to the street committee for their consideration. A motion was duly made, seconded and carried that fro -.rand, after the first day of July.,1916, the street commissioner include in his monthly report to the council all repairs and sidewalks constructed within the City, giving the lot and block number, and the name of the propero owner, if known. A motion was duly made,seconded and carried,tha.t the City Council place a value of 25¢ upon each 2x6x4,after having been placed in the sidewalk by the City,and that thisnmijaee shall govern all repairs made upon all old sidewalks within the City. Upon motion duly made, seconded ank cattied, the Clerk was instructed to prepare contract and have the same signed by the Merchants and property owners that maybe desirious of having the City handling their garbage and other waste materials within the City. And that the price of the said work be arranged according to the recoanmendation of the street commissioner. A motion was duly made,seconded and carried,that the City Engineer be instructed to purchase and install forthe City a recording volt meter at the pumping station. Bond of R.W.Hageter was read and accepted, - and ordered placed on file, upon motion duly made,seconded and carried. Bond of Bruno F.
