City Council met in regular session in the Council chambers at eight o'clock P.T% Meeting called to order by the Vator. Presc,.nt -Aldermen Laird,Davis,Hcrenlianner and Jacobs. Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read. Bids 11 for tapping of the Laurel water mrins for the ensiieing year were opened and found as follows: "..E.DeGarmo p an 15.00 4- 18.00 5/8"18.00 i T1 n 22.00 A motionwas duly made and seconded that Vf'..,'.DeGarmo be granted the contract fcr tapping the qater mains of the City of L,-urel at the above named unit prices and that the contractor furnish a bond in the sum of '"i' 500.00 and enter into a contract with the City for a term of one year. Carried. Resolution To 107 leveying and assessing taxes in Special Improve- ment district was read and a motion was duly made and seconddd that the said resolution be provissincially passed and approved as read. Upon roll call the vote stood as follows: .Les:- Laird,Davis,Horen,ilanner and Jacobs. No:- None. Absent: - Hage rter. Resolution No 106 creating Special Improvement District No 18 was read and a motin was duly made and seconded that said resolution be pro- visionally passed and and approved. Upon roll call the vote stood as Follows: ied:_ Laird,Davis,lIoren,Hanner,and Jacobs. bio: - None. Absentl,- Hagerter. RR,solution No 108 creating Specila Improvement District 111'0 19 was read and a motion was duly made and seconded that said resolution be provisionally passed and approvedas read. Minutes of the City Council 'of Laurel A motion was duly made and seconded that the clerk be instructed to write to McLaughlin and O'Neil and notify them that that certain Piece odr sidewalk in fron of C,�' T,. Shttergrens property has not been put in ac- cording c- c ord i nfr :, the specifications and that the City o" L aurel would have to call upon their bondsmen if the samewas not repaired within the next sixty days,to the satin action of, the said (I City of Laurel - A motion was duly made andsecondEld that the clerk instruct Mr Kennedy of HelenaqYontana to remove the debrees of the barn that burned and clean up his lot . CArried. 1 i motion .was duly m ade and seconded an,, carried that Fifer be in- structed to go ahead with the filling in of the rest of the Park which the city shall pay for and that he shall arrange to have the top dirt put on without expense to the city if possible, Adjourned on motion duly made,sec:nded and carried.
