Laurel, Montana, January 18th, 1916.
The City Council met in regular session at the Council
Chambers of the City Hall at eight o'clock P.I.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stripp.
There were present, aldermen Davis, Jacobs, Hcren and Laird.
The minutes of the last meeting were read. Upon motion duly made,
seconded and carried, the clerk was instructed to correct the minutes of
January 6th, 1916, tc: read as follows;"$5.00 shall be deducted from the
salary of the Police Judge for the rienth cf January, 1916, for the reason
that he collected $5.00 costs and kept same." On motion duly made,sectnded
and carried, the minutes were approved with the above correction.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried, that twenty-five
per cent of the estimate on the pump be withheld until the contractors
guarantee that the motor is all right under the over load.
Report cf auditing committee who audited the outgoing !dater
Commissioners becks was read, and upon motion duly made, seconded and
carried, same was approved and ordered placed on file.
The Repert of the City Trea ur;r for the-_:onth cf December, 1915,
was read, and upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, same was
accepted and approved and ordered placed cn file.
Upon motion duly made, seccrided and carried, a warrant was ordered
issued on the Executive Fund for $3.05, to the State Treasurer as per
notice cf assessment from the Industrial Accident Beard, at Helena, Mont.
Resignation cf B.G.Schneider as Fire Chief was read and upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, same was tabled until a later date.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the bill of O.H.Bundy,in

the, for expenses was audited and allowed.
