The City Council meet in regular session at the Council Chambers of the City Hall at S o+clock. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. The following Alderman were present: Davis, Dix, Hanner, Jacobs and Lamb. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Resignation of Nightwatchman Wilson read and accept9d on motion duly made, seconded and carried. Ordinance No. 139 providing for the Registration of the Names of Persons Eligible to vote at Special Flections by Taxpayers within the City of Laurel, Yontana, was introduced and read. A motion was made by Hannar and seconded by Davis that Ordinance No. 139 as read be passed and adopted. Upon roll call the vote stood as follows; Aye: Lamb, Davis, DixT Hanner and Jacobs. Nay: None Absent: Horen. Whereupon ordinance No. 139 was declared, adopted and was approved by the Rrayor, attested, by the Clerk and the seal of the City attached. Ordinance No. 140 providing for submitting to the taxpayers, who are qualified electors of the City of Laurel, the proposition of said City extending the three per cent limit of indebtedness fixed by law and incurring an additional indebtedness, (which indebtedness, ing all indebtedness heretofore contracted which is unpaid or out- standing, shall not exceed ten per centum over and above the three per cent heretofore referred to, of the total assessed valuation of the taxable property of the City as ascertained by the last assessment for State and County taxes), by the issuance of negotiable coupon bonds to the amount of Four thousand Dollars, for the purpose of procuring a Water Supply for said city which shall own and control said water supply and devote the revenues derived therefrom to the payment of the debt, was introducedand read. A motion was made by Jacons -and seconded by Dix that Ordinance No. 140 as readd be passed and adopted. Upon roll cell the vote stood as follows: Aye: Lamb, Davis, Dix, Hanner and Jacobs. Nay: None Absent: Horen. Whereupon Ordinance No. 140 was declared adopted and was approved by the Mayor, attested by the Clerk, and the seal of the City attached.
