Minutes of the City Council of Laurel _ �3
Laurel, Montana Aug. 20th, 1918.
The City Council met in regulattsession at the Council Chamber
in the City Hall
The meeting was called to order at 8 P.M. by the Mayor.
The following Alderman were present® Pricer -Ahlstrom, Alden
Davis and Sande.
The minutes of last meeting were read, and on motion beirg
duly made seconded ans carried were adopted as read.
A letter from the Director. General of Railways was read
and ordered placed on fileF;
The report of the Library board was read, and motion be-
ngduly made , seconded and carried was adopted as read.
The matter of getting a light placed at the R.R. cross-
ing by the R.R.Co. was taken up and the Clerk was instructed to
take same up with Mr. Spurling and try to get them to take some a
action regardins, it.
The bill of Jas, Phillips UN which was referred back to h
him for more definite itemizing was taken up, the information bei6
ing given as desired the bill was ordered paid.
An ordinance increasing the salaries of the City Clerk and
Mater Commissioner and the assistant Water Commissioner to $120.0
per month was introduced and read. A motion was made and seconde
that the same be adopted; roll call resulted as follows
Yes, Price, Ahlstrom, Alden, Davis and Sande.
No None
Absent, Gill
Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that we adjourn
