Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel Klont, Aug. 6th, 1918.
The City Council met in regular sewsion in the Council Chamber,
and was called to order at 8;30 P.T. by the Mayor.
The following Alderman were present; Davis. Price ,Ahlstrorn,
Sa nde, Alden and Gill.
Minutes of last meeting were read, and on motion duly made
seconded and carried were accepted as read,
Reports of Police Judge and Chief of Police were read and
gn motion duly made seconded and carried were accepted as read.
Estimate presented by City Engineer covering Street Crossin
gs completed by Phil Gehrett under his contract, Motion duly
made seconded and carried that same be approved
The Mayor reappointed R.F.James night police for another
30 day period , on motion duly made seconded and carried sane was
ratified,
This being thr date for opening bids for the construction
of improvements in Special Improvement District No. 25, same
were duly opened and presented to the Council, there being only
one bid submtttedby T.J.Stimatz
as

Absent None
The Clerk was instructed to interview those who have not
yet connected with the sewer as to when they are going to comply
and report at the next meeting.
Motion duly made seconded and carried that there be two
more Street crossings constructed on Main st. one at the Citizens
bank corner and one at the corner just east of the Laurel Lumber
Co's office.
The following bills were presented and on motion
allowed and ordered paid.
