y Council met in adjourned regular session in the council

Chamber in the City Hall, City Of Laurel, lviontana, and was called to

order at eight (6) o'clock :L?. li:. by Lrayor Davis; the following Aldermen
were present at roll call; Benyon, ,,BLlstrom, Sande, Alden, and Morris.
The Clerk announced a quorum present.

A communication from 0. ji,. Told asking for a permit to construct
a wooden stairway on the North side of leis nexi building; a. motion by
Ald.ermf?n Alden seconded by Alderman Sande, that larx. Wold be granted a
permit to build a temporary wooden stairway as petitioned. 1,:otion
carried.
A communication from 7urekP Fire Hose Company with a.statement
attached for $600.00, amount clue on Fire Hose; was re -d, a motion was
made by Alderman Sande, seconded by Alaermam J,,jorris that this bill be
paid with a Vjarr�-nt o1i the General Fund. jilotion carried.
This being the time and Place for receiving bids for improvements
in Special Improvement District No. 41, the following bid was opened
and read- 8 inch Sever 1.1ain X1.75 per foot, !,Zan Holes ;100.00 each,
Flush Tanks :S�175.00, signed by the Security Bridge Company; this being
the only bid submitted it was referred to the 7ater and Sewer committee,
who reported after investigation that after a comparrisom of the prices
of the different items this bid was in their estim.ation a reason2.ble bid,
and recommending its acceptance by the Oouncil',P- motion was made by
Alderman Morris, seconded. by Alderman Ahlstrom that the cogggltitebxS
report be adopted and that the bid of the Security Bridge Company for
the construction of improvements in Special Improvement District No. 41
be accepted as read. lvrotion carried.

An ordinance creating a Fourth Itlard in the City of Laurel, Montana,
and setting out the boundaries of the other ;dards was Presented and read;
a motion was made by Alderman Morris, seconded by Alderman yenyon that
the unanimous consent and vote of the Council be had for the immediate
consideration of the above ordinance. Motion carried.

and adopted.
Resolution No. 184.
Resolution No. 184 entitled a Resolution of Intention to create
0pecia.1 Improvement District No. 44 of the City of Laurel, jilottaTE.I.
designating the number of said Distridt, describing the boundaries thereof,
stating the general character of the improvements to be -made therein,
and an approximate estimate of the cost thereof, was presented and read;
a motion by ,Alderman Sande, seconded by Alderman Y-enyon that the unanimous
consent and vote of the Ooundil be had for the immediate consideration
of this Resolution. motion carried. Moved by Alderman Sande, seconded
by Aderman Yenyon that this Resolution be adopted, on the roll call
all members present voting nIn. lotion carried.

An ordinance providing for the construction of sides -talks upon the order

of the City Council, was put upon its final passage, moved b7T Alderman

motion was carried and said ordinance declared passed and adopted. V

Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
A motion ma -de by Alderman Sande, seconded by Alderman Alden
that Mr. Nutting be asked to submit a detail report on the physical
condition extended and finanical standing of his water pl,_nt in
Railroaa Toi*U, to the end that he end the City Gotuacil might come to
some understanding regarding the ultimate taking over by the Cit -V of
said plant. Motion carried.

seconded by Alderman Ahlstrom that this re-uest be granted and they be

The mail -ter of changing the source of the CitTrls water supply was
taken up and after some discussion a motion ,7;, -,as mpae by Alaurroan 7yorris,
seconded by Alderman L7enyon that . a committee be appointed to confer -
-,��ith the different Ditch oompanies to ascertain what could be donee v,jith
referejace to obtaining water from them. '111otion carried. The following
committee was appointed by the Jmjayor; 11or-Cis, yenyon, Ahlstrom and the
City Bngin.Jer.
It having be:,,n called to the att",n"ion of the Council that the
chimney in the Billings BreWing Company's building 1;7.,as unsafe the Clerk
was instructed to write them reQuesting that same be taken care of
immediately.
A motion was made by Llderman Sande, seconded by Alaerrn;,,n Morris
that we do now adjourn.
