The City Council met in regular session in the Council Chamber in the Cit-* Hall, Laurel, Montana, and was called to order at 8 61claek P,111. , by ILayor Davis. The following aldermen were present at roll call: Ahlstrom, J Kenyon, Alden and Sande. The Clerk announced a quorilm present. The minutes of the regular meeting held August lath, also the adjourments of the regular meeting held August 22nd, August 27th, Aug- ust 30th, were read. A motion was made by Alderman Kenyon, seconded by Alderman Sande that the minutes be adopted as read. Motion carried. The com.T:ittee on investigation relative to the Night Policeman stated that they were not ready to report, and asked for an extension of time until the next regular meeting, which was granted. Report of the Police Jodge was read. Y"otion was made by A1- dF."a,n Sande, seconded by Alder Alden that report be accepted. llotion carried. Report of the City Treasurer was read. lotion was made by Al- derman Sande, seconded by Alderman_ Alden, that same be accepted as read. Yotion carried. This being the time and place for receiving of bids for the -') construction of improvements in ^Loecial Inprovement Districts No. 36,4 37 and 38, the bids of the Security Bridge Company and '!acLaughlin & O'Neill having been filed, the Clerk proceeded to open the same, which .were as follows: ry Security Bridge Company's bid on District No. 36, cin^rete walk, 23X per square foot; curb, 7";e per lineal -foot; excavation 90/ per cubic yard; grading and filling 90e per cubic yard. Security Bridge Company's bid on District No. 37, concrete walk, 9Y per square foot; curb,77Y per lineal foot; excavation,90x per cubic yard; grading and fillina,90,? per cubic yard. Security Bridge Company's bid on District No. 38, concrete? wralk,2Y per square foot; curb,75,e per lineal foot; ex.cava.tion,90e per cubic yard; grading and filling,90,d per cubic yard. A motion was :rade by Alderman Alden, seconded by Alderman Sande that the committee report be adopted, and that the contract for Special Improvement District No. 36 be awarded to the Secarity Bridge Company, and that the I?ayo r and Clerk be authorized -to enter into contract with them for same. i.�otion carried. motion was made by Alderman Kenyon, seconded by Alderman Ahlstrom, that the bid of the Security Bridge Company on improve- ment District No. 37 be accepted, and that the mayor and Clerk be authorized to enter into contract With them for sane.
