The Council met in regular session in the CouncilChambers of the City Hall, Laurel, Idontana, at 8 o'clock P.M., and was called to order by Mayor Davis. The following Aldermen were present at the roll call, Sande, Alden, Ahlstrom and Kenyon. The Clerk announced a quorum present. The minutes of the meeting held July 1st were read and on motion of Alderman Alden, seconded by Alderman Sande, were adopted as read. The Mater and Sewer Committee reported on the petition of Joseph Frazier and others for an extension of the sewer mains in alley of Block b, East Laurel, recommending that the district be created. Resolution No. 174 entitled "A Resolution of Intention to create Special Improvement District No. 41 of the City of Laurel, Montana, desiL ating the number of said District, describing the boundaries thereof, stating tree general character of the improvements to be made therein, and an approximate estimate of the cost thereof,"was presented and read. Moved by Alderman Sande, seconded by Alderman Kenyon, that the unanimous consent and vote of the Council be had for the immedi- ate consideration of this Resolution.. Motion carried. Moved by Alderman Sande, seconded by Alderman Kenyon, that the Resolution be adopted. on roll call all Aldermen present voted "Aye". iotion was carried. The matter of the disposal of garbage was taken up. Moved by Alderman Sande, seconded by Alderman Alden, that this matter be laid over until the next meeting. Motion carried. Moved by Alderman Kenyon, seconded by Alderman Sande, that the motion passed on June 24th, 1919, authorizing the issuance of bonds to cover First Estimate of Security Bridge Co.'s contract for Improvement District No. 2`l, be recirded, Lotion carried. Ordinance No. 177, an Ordinance authorizing the execution, issuance and delivery of coupon bonds in payment for the work and improvements in Special Improvement District No. 26 of the City of Laurel, Montana, and describing the form, denomination L_otdoma©frAlder- date of Un. uch bonds, was introduced and read. and upo man Kenyon, seconded by Alderman Ahlstrom, a vote was taker_ thereon, and said Ordinance unanimously passed and adopted. First Estimate of Security Bridge Co. on Improvement District No. 26 was presented as follows:- A. feet of 6 -inch water pipe @ 85je per foot $1122.00 1320 feet of water ditch dug @ 25X per foot 330.00 1320 feet of 6 -inch water pipe laid @ 10¢' per foot 112.00 Total Moved by Alderman Ahlstrom, seconded by Alderman Sande, that the estimate be allowed and the Clerk be authorized to issue bonds for same., ad: auVh.or,ized' by ordinance No. 177. Council authorized the Clerk to notify Henry.Sturm to take care of the. ~paste water from his irrigation, which -is running down our Street and interfering with ,work on sidewalk and sewer construction The Mgyor reported thea James Phillips had made application to him to have the light post at the corner of Main Street and Montana Avenue temporarily taken out so that he could move a building over the walk into-the°street, This application was refused -by the Hayor until he could confer with the Council. A motion was made by Alderman Kenyon, seconded by Alderman Sande, that Mr. Phillips be allowed to have the light post temporarily removed upon the condi- tion that he bears the expense. of the re.roving .and replacing �) of same and saves the city harmless from any da.?a.ge` ,which raight(`° T:`' occur through moving the building,.
