Laurel, Yontana, Feb. 19th, 1919.
The City Council of the City of Laurel Met in regular session
at the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to 6,rder by
the Mayor at 8;30 P.M./
The following Alderman were present; Ahlstrom, Alden, Gill a
and Sande.

Petition of J.M.Allwine for lease of plot of land at west
end of City park, submitted and read.
The matter of the lease of the Hall Lumber Co. was taken up
A motion was duly made seconded and carried that a committee
be appointed to act with the City Engineer in the matter of the
Alwine petition and the Hall lease, the following were appointed,
the Mayor, City Engineer and Alderman Sande.
A motion was duly made seconded and carried that the Chief of
Police be instructed to require those who run soft drink places to
to remove all liquor signs and curtains screens or anything that
would obstruct the v6*w from the outside.
Committee on streets and alleys instructed instructed to look
over the sidewalks and report at the next meeting with their rec-
omendations. Also to instruct the health officer to inspect the bi
back part of the Laurel Bowling Alley and other places and order
them to clean upon penalty of being closed up,
A motion was duly made secobded that we do now adjourn.
