Laurel, dont Feb. 4th, 1919,
The; City Council met in regular session, at the City Hall, and was
called to order by the Mayor at 8:34 P.M.
The following Aldermen were present; Price, Gill. Alden andel#
Davis.
The minutes of the meeting held Jan. 27th, were read, a motion
vvas duly made seconded and carried that the minuted be approved as
read.

Mr. R.E. Coy, 11anager of the Laurel Branch of the Mountain
States Telephone and Telegraph Coappeared before the Council with
a request from thein for permission to make certain changes in their
lines within the City limits , a motion was made seconded and carried
that the Street and Alley Com. together with the City Attorney and
the City Engineer be authorized to meet with thein and make arrange
ments relative to same.
The following bills were presented and referred to the audift

Auditing committee recomended that the bill be paid as read,
a motion was therefore made seconded and carried that the bills be
paid as read.
A motion was made seconded that we do now adjourn.
