The City Council, met in regular session at
the Council Chamber, at the City Hall, at 8:30 P.ivi. and
was called to order by Ma?Tor Davis.

The minutes of the meeting of Sept. 28 were
read, and on motion were approved as read.
The committee ap.E)ointed on Sept. 28, to invest-
igate conditions at the railroad crossing o, First eve.
made its report recomnend.ing that the Council, request
the Northern Pacific Railway Co., to construct a plank
walk on the commercial track, 48 foot long and on the
main line 32 foot long, no farther action was taken
on the report.
The report of the Street commision was read
for the month of September and was referred by the
1.1ayor to the auditing, committee, to be reported upon
at the next meeting.

Aldermen I:IIor-ris presented to the Council through
the Clerk his personal check in the sum of Thirty-five &
52/100 Dollars, as a refund upon th,e money advanced by City
warrant to pay for chlorinator, and tank of chlorine, e_x:-
plaining that the tanIT of chlorine ordered had never been
delivered to the City, and. that this check was a refund of the
price of the said tank of chlorine.
Upon motion duly na.de. seconded. and carried. tt e
Council accepted the refund and directed the clerI to deposit
the same with the City Treasurer.
CAE. Settergren, City Treasurer presented through
the Clerk his resignation, as City Treasurer, to take effect
not later then Nov. 1, 1920. After some discussion, on
motion duly made, seconded and carried,action upon said res-
ignation was deferred and continued over to the next meeting.

Alderman Vo -da'_nl, arrived at this time and took
nart in the further delitbera.tions of" the Council.
Chief of police, Jake Kifer, was pr ooent at the
Council meeting and discussed xith the Council the manner
