Mhe City Council of the City of Laurel, Montane, met in
regular session at the Council Chamber of the City Hall, City,-
of Laurel, .and was called to order at 8.1.5 P.M. by Mayor Davis.
Me following Aldermen were present at roll 'eall:

Hagema Sausman

The Mayor anneanced that the firet matter t.o be disposed

of.was the appointment of the standing committees, the election ff
of president of the Council, and the appointment of all City
Officers ether than these elected by law.

Pon motion duly'seconded the ap�intments of the several
�e %ttees were approved by the Gowwi.l.
The MWer announced that nominations were in order for x
President of the Conw- il. The names of Morris and Qoxdahl re-
speetively,were pat in nomination, Moved and seconded that
nomination cease:.- Motion carried. At the direotion`of the
air. the Clerk passed ballets amok the Aldermen for :vote ,upon
the selection of the President. 'upon eempletion. .of the ballot=
irg, the, Clerk at.the direction of the Mayor aelleet6d, and.
publicly cued the balle 'fie Clerk then announced that the
result of the count was six votes for Morris and two votes. for

Upon motion duly mate, seconded and carried the appointments

Moved and seconded. that the Mayor appoint a cemini a to con-
sider the matter of the Street Oemmissioner and to Wke reeomoidi, ;
ations at the next meeting as to the most practical maxaner in
