Notion carried j The City Attorney recommended the purchase of the Session Laws of the last. General Assembly It was,, moved and seconded that the Clerk be instructed to order the same, Lotion carried. i The City Attorney then reported relative to the ownership of the cells in the old. jail far which action was started by Tyr. E. C. Gates. 1 It was moved and seconded that the Finance and Purchas;in.g Committee be in- structed to co-operate with the City Attorney in the matter of arriving at a settlement of the dispute. Motion carried.. The Clerk then read Resolutions 31o. 222 and 223 providing for the levying-and assessing of taxes for the payment' of bonds issued against District No. 48. It was moved and seconded that the resolutions as read be provisionally passed and upon roll call all Aldermen present voted "Aye" and the said resolutions. were declared: provisionally passed. Motion carried. F T TDING BOMBS. r This being the date fixed for the sale of the Funding Bonds of said Cit the Clerk reported that notice of said sale .had been dal y: Y published in a newspaper published in laurel, Montana, and in a news- paper published in New York City-fflr a-period d four weeks and sub- _hereupon bids were mitted proofs of the publication of said notices. T y received for said bonds, it appearing' that the bid of Antonides and Company was the highest bid forsaid. bonds and a bid of not less than par value thereof. It was moved''by Councilman Kenyon, seconded by Couneil?man Vordahl and unanimously carried., all Clouneilmen`present at said meeting-voting-in favor. of said motion., that the said bonds be and the same are hereby awarded to Antonides and Company and that the same be delivered to said purchaser upon receipt of the purchase price therefor. BISTRICE N0. 46. The Clerk advised the Mayor that this was the time and place for the opening, and consideration of the bids for the construction of improvements in Special Improvement District No . 46 and further ad-gised that no bids had been filed in his office, DISTRICT NO, 49. This being the night for receiving, opening and considering bids for the construction of improvements in?Spaeial Improvement Dist- rict No. 49, and the Cler'?: having presented to the Council affidavit showing proyoer publication.ir the bids were thereupon opened, The only -° bid received was that of Burley and Benninger which was referred to the Finance and Furehasing Committee. The coRmittee reported back that the bid specified that crushed gravel would not be used.. It was then moved., seconded and carried that further consideration.' thereof be deferred until the 2nd day of August1921, anel that'. the same be referred to Lld-erman Vordahl and.
