December 20, 1921.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met `in regular session
at the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order
by kayor !rank right at 8;00 P,. December 20, 1921,
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present,
Vordahl
Clark i
Knudsen
Richardson '
Sausman
The minutes of the regular meeting of December 6th were
read and approved.
Mx, vordahl, having been appointed at a previous meet-
ing to interview the Board of County Co rriumiss ioners in regard to
the draining of the slough in the west part of town,. reported that
they had promised to look the ground over and he would see them
again.
A communication from the Federal Securities Corporation
of Chicago in regard to retiring some of the original sevvaer and
grater bond issue at this time was read with the Clerk's reply
thereto. After some discussion of the me ner of retiring the
bonds, it was moved by Councilman `U'ordahl and seconded by Council-
man Clark that the matter be referred to the City Attorney and
that he report at. the next regular meeting. The motion carried.
The City Clerk reported that the Right-of-way Depart-

ment of the Northern pacific Railway Company contended that the
crossings as now located were not in conformity to the City's
rights. -It was moved by Couneilmau Knudsen, seconded by Council-
man Richardson that the Clerk be instructed to write ,1r. Vordahl
requesting that the crossings be approved as they now exist.
The notion carried.
A plat showing the location of the gas mains and the
principal laterals of the City was presented and after some dis-
cussion, it was moved by Councilman Sausman, seconded by Council-
man _Richardson that the plat, as submitted, be approved. The
motion carried.
