J_ November 15, 1921.
2he City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session at the Council Chamber in the City Mall on November 15,
1921, and was cabled to order by Mayor Frank Wright at 8:00 P. M,
Upon roll call the following .Aldermen answered ;present;
Clark
Bundy
Knudsen
Kenyon
Richardson

OR. IITkaTCE NO, 231.
Ordinance No. 231, being an ordinance granting unto
John Mc. adyen, his successors and assigns, the right to furnish,
convey, distribute aiid- sell natural and artificial gas in the
City of hanrel, which same had been authorized by the vote of
the tax-paying freeholders at the election of November 8th, was
read. It was moved by Alderman Knudsen and seconded by Alderman
2ausman that the said ordinance be. duly passed and adopted.
Upon roll call, all alde-rmwn present voted "Aye" and the said
ordinance was declared passed and adopted.
The salary of the :police Fudge was discussed and the
City Attorney instructed to render a decision at the next reg-
ular meeting.
The Ordinance Committee inquired if the original
ordinance book of the Revised Ordinances had been forwarded to
Mr. Niedekorn for his signature. The Clerk informed them that
he had spoken to Mr, Cehrett four or five times in regard to`
the book and he had promised to get it as soon as possible. In
his last statement, Mr. Gehrett said that 1r. Calvert was look-
ing after that but had been off duty on account of sickness for
a f6VV days and as soon as he returned he would have the book
completed.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
The -motion carried.
