November 14, 1921.
The City Council of the City of laurel met in Special
session at the Council Chamber in the City Hall for the purpose
of canvassing the votes in a special franchise election held
November 8, 1921, and was called to order by blayor Frank Wright
at 8:00 P. 11,, Noverxrler 14, 1921.
Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present:
V'or dahl
Bundy
Clark
Ha geman
Richardson
Sausman
The 1.1ayor instructed the Council to proceed with the
counting of ballots, The envelopes, containing the ballots, were
then opened and the count was made, showing
First Ward: 11 for and none against,
Second Ward: 18 for and none against,
Third Ward: 23 for and 2 against,
Fourth V lard-, 16 for and none against.
It was moved by Alderman Uageman and seconded by Alderman Sausman
that this count be declared as the official ballot of said special
election and that the question submitted to the voters be declared
carried. U,, on roll call, all aldermen present voted "Aye"'.
The Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant for payment
of taxes as per bill rendered by the County Treasurer to the a-
mount of $37.99 less ?8.16 which is . to be paid by the library
Board,
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried,
